1.) Nope, I have no problem with a man crying. I'd be a hypocrite if I did, because I've cried pervasively throughout my life. If I saw a male friend or peer crying in front of me, my first instinct would to give him a nurturing hug (if he was comfortable with it).

2.) Although it's hard for me to assess what "a majority of" men think/feel, I'd say it's likely that a plurality of men/boys feel uncomfortable when they see other men/boys cry because they know those crying men/boys are going to get shamed for it, and they want to try to spare them that pain. Also, many men/boys might be reluctant to approach a crying male person in a fatherly/brotherly manner because they are fearful of potentially getting pegged as a "sexual predator" by observers/bystanders.
