A good starting-point might be for academic minds to acknowledge that there are different subcategories of racism: systemic, social, and cultural. A key distinction would be that systemic racism is almost exclusively endured by People of Color, whereas the recipients/targets of social or cultural forms of racism can be White people and BIPOC alike.
