Agreed! Whether one belongs to a minority group or a majority group -- weaponizing one's identity usually never leads to anyplace good.

I also think there's a difference between speaking truth to power in terms of one's lived experiences, when one honestly recounts how they've been oppressed and/or privileged throughout specific facets of their life...versus weaponizing one's own identity per se (or someone else's identity per se) in order to attempt to shut down another person. The latter is really what so much of the pushback against so-called "woke" culture is really all about.
