Agreed with this last part...but it sounds to me to be more a matter of OUTNUMBERING them, rather than controlling/influencing their behavior itself.

Trumpublicans aren't going to listen to anyone outside of their own echo chamber (I should know; I live with two of them!), so the only real way to dilute their impact is to render them electorally-impotent.
