Agreed with you on the reality of white privilege and white advantage in society. Was never disputing that.

My point is that "prejudice" relegates adverse behavior to a sort of "shruggable" (I know, that isn't a word) offense, whereas true prejudice occurs in the unspoken, internal form. Once someone externalizes it (via bigotry), it can snowball very quickly and become far more severe than merely "prejudice."

Again, multiple things can be true at once. Systemic racism oppresses Black, Asian, Latin, and Indigenous people in institutional contexts that White people can never experience (or relate to).

At the same time, people of all racial backgrounds can direct aggression, gaslighting, violence, and other criminal behavior against one another...yet, *BUT FOR* the fact that they're intentionally doing it due to their target's race, it would otherwise be standard crime. What makes it racism is the malicious intent BASED ON RACE (of the target). It's certainly a spectrum with varying degrees; not all crimes are created equal. And it isn't systemic.

That's why distinguishing between "systemic racism" and "social racism" or "cultural racism" is so necessary. Different solutions need to be applied to different iterations of racism.
