Al Gore's problem wasn't that he was "boring" -- it was that he was a bully, and he was instrumental in normalizing junkyard dog politics decades before Donald Trump would come to accelerate it.

The "boring" caricature of Gore is just a veneer that became a lame attempt to whitewash his darker aura of narcissism and corruption for which too few Americans were willing to hold him accountable, throughout the 1990s and early-aughts.
