What is your reaction to John McMahon's comments, elsewhere on this thread, where he points out that the system itself disincentivizes anyone other than the most egocentric people from running for office...and that those who currently control it have no incentive for seeing it changed (and, in fact, would even actively work against such changes) when they benefit from a plethora of dirty money and cronyism?
