Andrew -- while I thought Coates made a ton of valid points in his 2014 op-ed piece, he even admits (in the piece) that reparations are never going to be realistic until a majority of Americans support them.

When Congress can't even get a voter protection bill passed, I'm not sure how pro-reparations folks think the U.S. federal government is suddenly going to be willing to cut personal checks to millions of Americans descended from slaves.
