Another great piece! It makes one wonder: whatever happened to common sense?

#BelieveWomen should have been modified to the hashtag of #BelieveSurvivors -- and notice the lack of the word "All" in that hashtag. But the binary has become: all women get to speak up and make any claim, and all men (even male survivors ourselves) must shut up and quietly listen. A very dangerous dichotomy.

I think most rational minds out there, if given the chance to reflect, would come to the conclusion that transgender people should receive inclusion. But private spaces and medical treatments (not to mention the policing of cisgender people's sex lives through the new-fangled dogma of "omnisexism") still must be implemented thoughtfully and responsibly. I thought doctors wanted to AVOID medical malpractice?

And can anybody tell me why "Police Accountability" would have been a less effective slogan than "Defund The Police"??? The former conveys the need to dismantle systemic racism, summing it up in a clean and straightforward manner...the latter just muddies the focus of the debate with a red herring. Of course, if you point that out (and also happen to be White), then you're not living up to the stringent criteria of so-called "antiracist" thought.

Oh, and the biggest failure of Mitch McConnell actually has been his normalization of hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance...and the media culture's culpability by continuously giving him a free pass on it. Especially when he literally and glibly laughs out loud about it, in response to his electoral opponent.
