Are you referring to the "Stop WOKE Act"? DeSantis and his allies/followers are approaching it from the other direction: They want to ban, censor, and delegitimize any perspectives that ask us to consider the impact of race, gender, and other attributes in people's lives.

They are doing the same thing, essentially, as Robin DiAngelo, Tim Wise, Debby Irving, and Jane Elliott -- except, rather than trying to thought-police the masses with a left-wing bias, they're instead trying to thought-police the masses with a right-wing bias.
