As a member of the "Xennial" microgeneration, we seem to have gotten the worst of both worlds -- watched like a hawk by "helicopter parents" and "helicopter teachers" when seeking out creativity and individualism...but told to "fend for ourselves" when we had to confront bullying and gaslighting.
