As a Millennial, I've always had immense respect for the Boomers who are constantly out in front pushing constructive solutions to society's problems.

So why don't most of those solutions get implemented? Because society's top power-brokers are, ultimately, narcissistic and greedy people who don't actually WANT to solve problems. And many of them HAPPEN to be Boomers (thus, the unwarranted ageism directed against older people, by association).

Will things get better when it's GenXers (or Millennials, or Centennials, or Alphas) who become the generation possessing control over the most levers of power in the future? I guess it depends on the quality (or lack thereof) of those leaders. Only time will tell.
