As a *non*athlete who is cisgender (and was put into adaptive Physical Education against my will, as a kid, under the supervision of a likely pedophile) -- I appreciate having my perspective widened from reading this piece of yours. I've been undecided, so far, on my perspective amidst the debate over how to integrate trans athletes into school sports...and I have largely intended to defer to the expertise and clarity of those who are actually involved with competitive athletics.
