Even from a young age, I never believed that America was "THE greatest country in the world." My basis for this lack of belief is very rudimentary: I've never even visited any country outside of the United States, so I have no basis or credibility to make such a claim.

It cuts both ways, though. Even the countries that, by objective metrics, have the best standards-of-living in the world...should we assume their hands are clean? How many people in general would rail against injustice and impoverishment during one phase of their life, and then, decades later, could be amongst those lounging by the pool munching on caviar?
