Everything you've written is very true. Some women will "justify" sexual harassment of men/boys by citing "power imbalance" (which, apparently, means the behavior itself "isn't as bad" as if it was happening to a girl or a woman).

Others will dismiss assault/rape of men by saying "Oh, it doesn't happen as often, so it doesn't have the same systemic effect that assault/rape of women does."

First of all, I didn't realize it was kosher to quantify the dynamic of violating someone else's bodily sovereignty...

*eyeroll*

Next, while I certainly believe that assault/rape happens to women in higher numbers than it happens to men (and there is necessity in implementing systemic solutions to end it), we can't know the exact numbers because it is underreported amongst BOTH women and men. And it's clear that it still happens to male persons in significant numbers, even though those numbers aren't as high as they are for female persons.

Besides that...when it happens to you, you don't really care about "the numbers." You care about the fact that you were violated, and you want justice -- and you also want to protect others from having to endure it, the way you were subjected to it.

(I speak from experience, here)

So, any systemic solutions to crack down on violence/assault/rape against women, if implemented properly and justly, should also naturally -- by extension -- have the effect of cracking down on violence/assault/rape against men, too.

But to diminish the bodily objectification or intrusion of a man's or a boy's body -- PREDICATED ON THE FACT THAT WE HAVE A PENIS -- is, by definition, predatory and sexist (misandrist).

If someone claims to be a proponent of #MeToo, but they disagree with any of the above, then they aren't really for #MeToo. They're for #SomePeopleTooBecauseTheyreRelatableToMe.
