Agreed with all of the major points you've made in this piece. As you've brilliantly laid out for us: virtue-signaling seems to have become a substitution for actual proactive solutions, in the minds of many.... :-/

If a virtue-signaler gets irate and defensive when you call them out on their rhetoric or behavior...then that's a sure sign that they care more about "looking good" to others than they do about actually making a substantive difference in the world.
