Excellent historical overview of the Barbie franchise!

My sister and I used to play with Barbie dolls, as kids. My sister had Barbie, Skipper (Barbie's little sister), and Courtney (Skipper's best friend) -- all White.

I had Ken, Scott (Skipper's boyfriend), and Kira (the first Hawaiian Barbie introduced).

Ken and Scott were in a clandestine homosexual relationship together, courtesy of my horny teenaged mind. :-D
