No doctor WANTS to be sued for malpractice, or acquire a negative reputation within the medical community. So, if a doctor is advocating for health care access to be provided to minors who are transgender, she/he/they knows they are putting their reputation at stake -- but they are following the science, and genuinely care about their patients' well-being.
I swear -- so many knuckle-draggers seem to be likening doctors to "mad scientists." Can we give health care providers more credit than that???
