For me, it's a combination of classism and ableism. Financially, I couldn't afford automobile insurance even if I did have a driver's license. Psychologically, I'm terrified of singlehandedly operating a 4,000-pound vehicle while also trying to navigate around the volatility of OTHER drivers on the road.
