I don't think how "common" sexual abuse is, or the frequency at which assault or rape occur, are quite as important as the overarching goal of ELIMINATING IT ALTOGETHER.

I also refuse to "take responsibility" for other people's willful ignorance. I can try to share my experiences with them, or encourage them to listen to other survivors' experiences...but, if they choose to ignore those perspectives and continue to live in their own bubbles, that's on them.

But, as far as your challenge for us to tell our stories more often, Nicole...
