Part of the beauty of Medium, for me, is to be able to sift through unlimited access to all the articles -- because you find some real gems hidden in here, but you also find lots of cubic zirconium...and many dried pebbles of dung.

I don't want to enrich a militant extremist with even a quarter of my own focused money for reading their hateful views. I'll just pay upfront, and sample from the smorgasbord at my own pace.
