Hermes, I agree with a lot of what you're saying in this reply. But I take issue with your supposition that "hate" is inherently unethical.

I think that, if the other person is unwilling to engage you in good faith, "hate" is completely justified...as long as it's directed toward that individual. Clearly, in this scenario, it's an individual who is very unlikely to change their ways.

On-edit: I do agree with everyone who has pointed out that your comparison of a bike to rape isn't an equal comparison. However, I also realize that you were probably intending to frame it in philosophical or conceptual terms, rather than in literal or qualitative terms.
