I read through your piece and found your spiritual views fascinating; I've always wondered about the existence of past lives, and mulled over to what extent reincarnation might exist in the universe. You quote Ed a lot in your piece; I assume you know that he comes from an atheistic philosophy?

I also read the piece from which you'd quoted by Patrick. I do think he makes some valid points about human collaboration and taking care of one another; but, near the end of his essay, he claims that "responsibility" shouldn't be based on "liability" -- yet, that's exactly what too many of the proponents of so-called "identity politics" strive to promote.
