How about this?

Pelosi and Schumer force votes in the House and Senate on a clean standalone bill that solely focuses on making it illegal for state legislatures to subjectively overturn the results of an election (whether it's for local, state, or federal offices).

It passes the House...possibly with bipartisan support.

It reaches the Senate, and McConnell has two options, neither of which he likes: allow it to pass with 51+ votes and advance to President Biden's desk for signature, or blatantly filibuster it -- at which point, a Republican Senate filibuster has just handed the Democrats a talking-point on a golden platter: Republicans have voted to reject votes from the entire citizenry. Republicans want to empower career politicians to replace an electoral victor with their own chosen runner-up candidate.

McConnell gets to pick his poison.
