I agree there is definitely a positive pattern of success and flourishment amongst female-led companies when compared to male-led companies...but I wonder how much of the collaborative style so often exhibited by women is because women have HAD TO be collaborative in their leadership styles? -- due to structural gender inequities that have traditionally plagued the American economy as well as the global economy.

We won't really know until there's an exact 50/50 split, which there obviously currently isn't. And even then, there are so many other factors to consider. I think you've made a strong case for why our society should abandon the hesitation about investing in women who run businesses...but I would caution certain observers who'd be inclined to jump to the conclusion that these historical and sociological realities somehow translate to the notion that women are biologically and genetically "better" leaders than men.
