I agree with a lot of your sentiments you've expressed here, but I don't think Jude was making the case AT ALL that we should let people off the hook for falsely accusing others of rape. The core point I took away from his article is that we shouldn't overemphasize lonely men at the expense of (neglecting) lonely women. Both need to be taken seriously.
