May I also add one thought? I think, sometimes, part of the problem can be that some individuals conflate racism with colorism. The former is prejudice/bigotry/discrimination based on a broader racial classification. The latter is prejudice/bigotry/discrimination based on skin tone differences, even AMONGST people within the same racial group.
The archetype who wants to dominate the hyperwoke narrative is usually someone trying to center THEMSELVES as the ultimate victim of both racism and colorism...so they blur the two dynamics together.
