I agree with you that stoicism can be positive as well as negative, depending on the context.

I suppose, when I wrote that, I was regarding "stoicism" in a negative context BECAUSE that's the context we're so often served up, these days, when referring to it?

Maybe the focus should be on bringing to light the different sides/angles to stoicism itself, rather than necessarily looking at it along a Good/Bad binary?
