I agree with you that women shouldn't be shamed if they happen to desire traditional gender roles as far as what they'd want in a male spouse FOR THEIR OWN relationships.

Where it goes off the rails is when certain women promote the notion that ALL men/boys should adhere to those guidelines. They raise their sons to meet those expectations...and advocate for OTHER PEOPLE'S sons to do likewise.
