I assume your intent when writing this piece was to examine the pointed dynamics between heterosexual women and heterosexual men, in terms of courtship and romance?
If so, then I don't have very much commentary to offer, on that front. I'm a homosexual man, so I'm largely isolated from those rituals.
As far as the non-romantic and non-sexual realm: many men are very judgmental toward EACH OTHER. #NotAllMen, of course. But it happens more often than men ourselves are even willing to admit. There's this inaccurate stereotype that most men are uniformly "simple" -- and I find that to be insulting. Many men are indeed "simple" (and seem to be well-adjusted in being fine with that trait), but others of us are complex and messy. Even the gay, bi, and trans men/boys.
