I belong to several Publications, and I usually submit to the Publication that I feel comes closest to the subject area of whichever article I'm shopping around. I always have two or three backup Publications in mind, in case my first-choice rejects my piece.

I usually don't mind editing of my work by third parties, within reason. In my experience, most of the edits that the Publication editors have suggested have been good advice...or, at least, an edit that I can live with. On one or two occasions, I've gone in and "re-edited their editing of me" after the fact. Normally, however, I try to stick with what the editor has preferred to change in terms of editing.

I haven't been keeping track of views and reads, to compare and contrast, across Publications. I have only self-published maybe once or twice, so I don't have a lot to compare my self-published work to -- most of my articles have been carried by Medium Publications.

What is the email address for contacting Medium support? In your experience, have you ever gotten a personal response from them...or is it usually a canned form-reply?
