I call it what it is. Racism.
If someone is mistreating or bullying someone else, and they wouldn't be committing that transgression BUT FOR the fact that their target belongs to a specific racial category -- *THAT* is the purest definition of racism. Calling it "bigotry" if directed against a White person (while simultaneously calling the same behavior "racism" when directed against a Person of Color) is essentially gaslighting and excuse-making under the framework of "Rules for thee, but not for me."
Taking racism (or any other "-ism") and dividing it into pointed subcategorites -- that's what allows us to dig deeper and confront the failures of SYSTEMS as well as compelling people to examine their own interpersonal or affinity-based behaviors.
