I definitely learned a lot from this article, Arturo. I'll start with the real eye-opener...

I had no idea that a subset of the White population actually bought into those fears over alleged "white genocide" or "White Extinction Anxiety." Such fears are absolutely ludicrous.

From my perspective, without specific context, I've always viewed the phrase "white people" as a neutral descriptor on its face. And that's really the way every description of any ethnicity or racial group should be: Black people, White people, API people, Latinx people, Indigenous people, etc.

Count me in as someone who views your disclaimer at the top as unnecessary -- although the fact that you chose to include it speaks more to your high-quality of character than to any hypothetical validation of those who'd assume you were attacking all White people across-the-board.

While I do agree with your point that "Wypipo" isn't an inherently racist term, the way in which it can be weaponized is sometimes racist. But, that is also entirely situational and is dependent on the (ill-)intentions of the person who is wielding the word in a specific manner.

Overall, anybody with common sense should realize that usage of the phrase "white people" is generally intended to refer to those who are exhibiting (or aiding and abetting in) variations of systemic and/or cultural and/or social racism...unless otherwise specified by the author (and a subset of those toxic people *do* exist, and many of them can indeed be found on Medium).
