I distinctly remember that multiple boys (including me) would often pop a boner while we were showering after 6th Grade gym class. I never witnessed anyone say anything about it, and nobody seemed to care.

However, fast forward four years later. We were high school sophomores who had a swimming unit in Phy Ed. Even though we all kept our trunks on while showering before going into the pool, one of my classmates noticed the massive tent in my shorts -- and very loudly called me out on it. Nobody else joined in his taunting, but he clearly knew how to weaponize my sexuality against me.
