I don't dispute that racism as well as other "-isms" are directly linked to capitalism.

What I'm pointing out is that members of the MENA community have long been lobbying the U.S. Census Bureau to give them the OPTION to checkmark a box reflecting their racial ancestry on census forms. The Census Bureau, so far, has turned a deaf ear to them.

So who gets to be the ultimate arbiter of what "whiteness" is or what it means?
