I don't recall ever having been THAT severe with my constructive criticism of you -- but I've certainly never blocked you, or vice versa. Which seems to speak to the point you're making.

Blocking people with whom we disagree is a shallow move that simply reflects that author's fragility. I'm sorry to hear that Katie has taken to that practice. I've certainly seen it before, and been on the receiving end of it many times! Although I'm less bothered by the authors who flat-out ignore the criticism they receive...whereas I'm more disgusted by those who reply with a curt and passive-aggressive one-liner of dismissal, rather than addressing their critic's substance.
