I don't understand why ANY author wouldn't want to give proper accreditation to the source of an image.

And, speaking to the first issue: whenever I write a piece for ANY Publication, I always go over it with a fine-tooth comb to analyze whether I've said or written anything that could be remotely construed as offensive. In some cases (although I can't speak to the reader whom you referenced at the beginning of this newsletter), some people are just LOOKING FOR things to offend them.
