I feel a similar struggle, even though I'm 15 years (give or take) older than you. I'm an "Xennial" (pronounced "Exx-ehn-eeh-ull") whose birth year straddles the dividing line between Gen X and Gen Y.
Similarly, it sounds as though you might fall into the "Zillennial" microgeneration -- straddling the line between Gen Y and Gen Z. Earlier this year, I wrote an entire piece about "cuspers" all across the generational spectrum:
