I guess I'm not sure what the point of this article was. It seems to be a long diatribe, peppered with well-researched historical facts about sociopolitical circumstances over time, that ends up reading as just a roundabout way of saying, "It's all hopeless; we're just going to keep repeating these vicious cycles in politics until we destroy ourselves."
