I guess what haunts me is the question of whether the person is currently putting OTHER PEOPLE through the same sorts of things to which they'd subjected me. Especially if they've gained/maintained positions of power. Most of the time, I have no way of knowing for certain...which is probably at the root of why it eats away at my soul.
