I know you specified toward the beginning of this piece that these observations pertain primarily to heterosexual couples. But I would be interested to see if there are any studies out there that survey same-sex (romantic/domestic) couples, to gauge whether there are/aren't noticeable self-perceived disparities in emotional labor and workload from one/both spouses in those relationships.
