I love your discussion of how something being deemed "natural" doesn't necessarily make it "virtuous" by default.
Greed, jealousy, gluttony, and anger could all be considered "natural." We should still try to minimize these traits in excess within ourselves.
I love fruits and vegetables and whole grains. I also enjoy eating dairy products and some meats...but I just try to be conscious of how often I consume them, and in what quantities. The same way I wash off my produce with an organic enhanced water spray (even though that is similarly "unnatural").
I think the focus should be moreso on finding ways to reduce factory farming and raising more beef/poultry/seafood in more sustainable ways.
I'm also rather abnormal because I enjoy many edible vegan grocery products, even though I'm not a vegan myself. But I also try to be mindful of sodium-content in them, and not be deceived by the tantalization that something might "look healthy" (but actually not be).
