I only ask because many pundits (and Medium authors) seem convinced that NO VERSION of the Build Back Better plan is going to pass through reconciliation, in ANY dollar amount. They think the bipartisan infrastructure bill is going to be as good as it gets, and Democrats will basically have scraps to run on, during the midterms.

Personally, when it comes to the BBB reconciliation package, I don't want to see them let perfect become the enemy of good. Even half-a-trillion would be nothing to sneeze at -- although, as you point out, they'd have to cut down the breadth of distribution (and, most likely, the length of immediate timespan for dispersal) when trimming down the overall dollar amount even further.
