I place the onus, here, on the U.S. Census Bureau for ignoring the requests/demands of people who identify as MENA to have a "Middle Eastern & Northern African" option on the Census forms (regarding racial/ethnic self-designation).

As more Black, Latino(a), Indigenous, and Asian heritage increases through marriage and interracial procreation, Census officials insecurely react to their fears of the White percentage of the U.S. population dwindling down to (in their speculative minds) single digits.
