I remember, months ago, before I'd officially joined Medium, I read a piece on here authored by a conservative gentleman (my apologies; I can't remember his name) who attacked the book "White Fragility." Unfortunately, he approached it from the premise that white fragility doesn't even exist at all; that position, coupled with his dual identities of being White and male himself, gave the DiAngelo sycophants a perfect opening to rebut him with the predictable mantra of, "You're just proving her point."

Based on my previous readings of Ms. DiAngelo's essays, I agree with her on the limited point of white fragility existing insofar as it applies to the trend of many White people who shy away from discussions on race (due to discomfort) or even who try to outright gaslight people of color who propose that racism could be at the root (either fully or partially) of a problem. Where I sharply disagree with (and reject) DiAngelo's philosophies (as I've read, so far, in her previous works) is her blind embrace of the narrow privilege+power formula for defining racism...along with her belief that all White people are inherently racist, and that it's a monodirectional problem.

If her best-seller (?!?!?!) is indeed just a mass-regurgitation of these wayward philosophies (once I've read it in full), it will be very easy for me to dissect and critically tear apart her worldview right here in a featured Medium piece of my own.
