I see what you're saying...but my point remains the same. I'm putting myself in the position of the candidate. What would I do if I was in their shoes? If I'm not the actual candidate who was in running in the race itself, then of course I'm not going to dictate to them what they should/shouldn't do upon learning the results of the election. But if I view them as coming off as insincere or unauthentic, I reserve the right to call them out on it.
You're essentially saying that we should accept that politics is just a big game of role-playing...and that's what I find to be embodying everything that's wrong with politics today!
