I think systemic safety threats are more of an issue for women than for men, in the context of having gender-segregated locker rooms. But I also believe that both men and women should be able to change clothes and shower in comfort without being under the gaze of the opposite sex.
Just because SC says she wouldn't feel discomfort changing clothes or being naked in front of men *if* she could be guaranteed they weren't going to cause her harm -- that doesn't mean all other women (or men) should be bound by the same comfort level as her.
