I think you're absolutely correct when you nail how "woke" is weaponized by the Far Right as a nebulous term to disparage everything they loathe under the same umbrella.

On the other hand, there is value to criticizing people who gloat and pride themselves on being "woke" as though it's some performative badge-of-honor...I refer to these people as "hyperwoke," which has a narrowly-defined meaning:
