I thought the whole idea of subheadings, bullet points, etc. is to make our content stand out in a way that will compel "skimmers" to want to go back and read our articles in full from the beginning?

So wouldn't large blocks of text make it more likely for "skimmers" to navigate away from the article they're reading?
