I was never a fan of Jay Leno before reading this (it doesn't help that his character on "Last Man Standing" irritates the shit out of me), and, after reading this, it appears my instinct was correct.

Side-note: Alison Arngrim once told me, via email, how it was common (largely unspoken) knowledge that Joan Rivers was the frontrunner to become Carson's successor, but Rivers was passed over in favor of Leno at the last minute.
